Arsenal can move to second in the Premier League later today when the Gunners welcome Everton to the Emirates Stadium.
A 1-1 draw with Fulham in Arsenal's last outing saw the Gunners drop valuable points in the title race, leaving Mikel Arteta's side six points behind leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand. But, with Arsenal playing before Chelsea, the Gunners could jump to second in the Premier League table later today, albeit it may only be for just over a day.
Everton make the trip to the capital well-rested, with the Toffees' last Premier League clash against Liverpool being postponed. Arteta's side have enjoyed their last few meetings against Everton, winning the last three clashes against Sean Dyche's side.
So, can Arsenal get back to winning ways in the Premier League later today? Let's take a look.
### Arsenal vs Everton score predicted
To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.
We predict that Arsenal could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: **Raya; Partey, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber; Rice, Odegaard, Merino; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.**
We predict that Everton could set up in a 4-4-1-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: **Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Ndiaye, Mangala, Gueye, McNeil; Doucoure; Calvert-Lewin.**
Everton have only conceded more than one goal in a game once since mid-September, and it was proving a tough task to break through the Toffees' blunt defence in the first half, with the visitors sitting deep and frustrating Arteta's side. The best chance of the first half fell to Declan Rice who tested Jordan Pickford with a shot from 25 yards out, but the 'keeper was equal to it, acrobatically palming his effort over the bar.
Arteta introduced Gabriel Martinelli, Jorginho, and Gabriel Jesus in the second half in an attempt to find a solution to the defensive puzzle in front of them, but it was proving unsuccessful, with the Gunners having just three shots on target after 85 minutes. But, in the 89th minute, Arsenal were gifted the winning goal, a huge moment to keep their title hopes well and truly alive.

Jarrad Branthwaite dawdled on the ball as Everton held possession in their own half, but an aggressive press from Kai Havertz forced the defender into giving up the ball, allowing the German to race through on goal. One-on-one, Havertz remained composed to find the bottom corner with a curling effort, securing a giant three points late on for Arteta's side.
