However, they are now no longer the only Premier League side to take an interest in Vlahovic as recent reports have emerged linking the attacker over a move to Old Trafford.

According to CaughtOffside, the Red Devils are monitoring the Serbian striker as a possible long-term replacement for Marcus Rashford who could leave in January.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have held a longstanding interest in the 24-year-old as they look for a striker to replace the out-of-sorts Gabriel Jesus who could also be leaving in the near future.

The Juventus striker has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season and also added three assists to his resume.

He recently scored in Juventus’ 2-0 win against Manchester City, rivals to both Arsenal and Manchester United; it can’t have harmed his chances of getting a transfer to the Premier League.

Arsenal looking to sign a striker in January

The Gunners were linked to several strikers in the summer transfer window, but failed to make a signing at the position.

Viktor Gyokeres has been identified as Arsenal’s primary target at the position, however, there is significant interest from United as well due to Gyokeres’ links to Ruben Amorim.

Furthermore, Arsenal have also been linked to Newcastle United attacker Alexander Isak alongside Chelsea and could make a move for the striker who is yet to sign a new contract at St James’ Park.

Recent reports have linked the Gunners over a move for Bologna striker Santiago Castro who at 20, is a younger, more promising talent.

He would also be a cheaper signing at the position with reports suggesting that the Gunners could sign him for a fee of around £33m.
