Former Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit has likened Cole Palmer too legends of the game Rivaldo and Zinedine Zidane.
Palmer has been an absolute revelation since joining from Manchester City in the summer of 2023 and has taken the Premier League by storm.
The 22-year-old has not only established himself in the England set-up, he’s also become one of the best players not only in the Premier League, but also in the world.

After being named Premier League Young Player of the Year last season, many wondered if Palmer could replicate that form this campaign.
The England international has shown last season very much wasn’t a one off and he already has 11 goals and six assists in 15 games.
Enzo Maresca admitted he’s proud to work with Palmer, and the form City man is arguably one of the best signings Chelsea have made in recent times.

Palmer revealed he dreams of winning of the Ballon d’Or and given the trajectory his career is currently on you wouldn’t bet against him doing that.
Petit has made a big claim and likened Chelsea’s star man to footballing legends Rivaldo and Zidane, which is quite some praise.
“You can see the opponents as well, every time Cole Palmer gets the ball, you can feel the opponent is stressed,” he told talkSPORT as cited on X.com.
“I’ve met different players, top players with the same abilities and personality on the pitch. For example, I played with Rivaldo at Barcelona, and Zidane in the national team.”
