Paris Saint-Germain opted for a short-term solution by loaning Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig for another season, but a more permanent decision about his future is expected next summer.
In September, journalist Christian Falk reported thatManchester City and Liverpool are closely monitoring Simons’ situation. Earlier in the summer, top clubs likeBayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester United also expressed interest in the talented midfielder.
Sport Bild suggests Leipzigare eager to make Simons’ move permanent as soon as January. However, the player, who is under contract with PSG until 2027, appears uninterested in returning to Paris.
Leipzigare facing a major challenge in meeting PSG’s €80 million asking price, which could be too high for the German club. Additionally, The Athletic revealed that Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Real Madrid are among the most likely destinations for Simons.

CaughtOffside reported on Saturday, citing sources, that Manchester United have a realistic shot at outmaneuvering local rivals Manchester City to secure Simons next summer.
The report also suggests that the project at Manchester United under Rubén Amorim seems to interest Simons, with plenty of clubs expected to compete for his signature in 2025.
Nonetheless,Sport Bild recently reported that the Parisians are open to offers for Simons, and talks between the two clubs have already begun. While Al-Khelaïfi initially valued the player at €80 million, Leipzig has reportedly proposed a €50 million deal, including a resale percentage for PSG.
