Chelsea’s youngster is being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis next year.
The Chelsea academy continues to be a superb production line for future stars, but unfortunately not every youngster makes it in west London.
In the case of Blues prospect Josh Acheampong, it looks like he’ll be part of the club’s plans moving forward. It’s been reported that Acheampong is close to signing a Chelsea contract extension.
However, one of his teammates from the Under-21s side may be leaving.

Chelsea youngster Harvey Vale likely to leave
According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea youngster Harvey Vale is attracting ‘heavy interest’ from clubs ahead of the January transfer window.
It is explained that Championship teams are showing interest in signing the 21-year-old Blues player. Also, foreign sides are eyeing the English youngster because the fact he’s eligible for an Irish passport means he would avoid taking up a non-European spot.
The report adds that Vale’s current deal with Chelsea is set to run out at the end of the season. Even though the Blues have the option to extend the contract, they’re not expected to do so and it’s most likely he’ll leave permanently in 2025.
Vale, who’s an extremely versatile talent, made his first senior appearance of the season on Thursday during Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Astana in the Conference League group stages.

The left-footed youngster has been effective as an attacking midfielder in the Blues’ U21s side this campaign, but he can also fill in at left-back, something he did during a successful loan spell with Bristol Rovers last season.
Many at Chelsea think Vale should be closer to their first team. The latest speculation sounds like he’ll be moving on to pursue a first-team career elsewhere, though.
Harvey Vale will be a success elsewhere
The likes of Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento are proof that there’s life away from Chelsea.
In terms of Vale, he looks like an exciting youngster that just needs to play more regular first-team football. A move to the Championship division could be a perfect fit for his development at this stage.
Joey Barton described Chelsea’s Vale as “phenomenal” after working with him at Bristol Rovers.
