Nottingham Forest’s interest in Yuri Alberto has been known for some time now, and he’s even attracting the praise of Brazilian legend Ronaldo.
Nuno Espirito Santo already has one eye on the January transfer window with the opportunity to really cement Nottingham Forest‘s place around the European spots.
Nottingham Forest won’t have it easy though, as Aston Villa are up next in the Premier League, which will give a great insight into where the Reds are at right now.
Interestingly, Emery has already called Nottingham Forest ‘rivals’ for their positioning this season, as he lavished them with praise in his press conference.
And Nottingham Forest aren’t the only ones getting praise from a recognised figure, as transfer target Yuri Alberto was recently commended by Ronaldo.
Ronaldo praises Yuri Alberto at Corinthians
Yuri Alberto is a player on the radar of Nottingham Forest as we head into the January transfer window.
The comment Alberto recently made about his future are interesting, as he stated he dreams of a move to the Premier League but also wants to stay in Brazil.

MORE FOREST STORIES
Quoted by ESPN Brasil, he reveals how impressed he is with Yuri Alberto.
“A striker who, even with a lot of criticism, played very well, was Yuri Alberto. He grew at the time that Corinthians needed it most and helped the team with many goals, being one of the team’s top scorers in competitions.”
Nottingham Forest’s striker situation
Nottingham Forest only have the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood at the pinnacle of the attack.
One injury would spell big trouble, hence the interest in Yuri Alberto.
However, it may be a move that Alberto decides against when looking at Chris Wood’s form, as it’s unlikely Nuno would drop his star man.
The one thing that could help Forest is Murillo, who joined from Alberto’s current club Corinthians.
