Sean Dyche is skating on thin ice at Everton as the most recent takeover update could spell bad news for the current figure in charge.
The Toffees are sitting 15th in the Premier League after 14 games, claiming just three wins in that time, which sees them only five points above Ipswich Town in the relegation zone.
Despite this, Evertonians have every reason to be excited about the future, with Sky Sports reporting that the Friedkin Group have been given the green light by the Premier League to complete the takeover.
One of the potential new owner’s first decisions at Goodison Park could be to sack the man currently controlling the players on the pitch, and they are certainly not afraid to do so.
AS Roma, also owned by TFG, has had four separate managers take charge since 2023, which would suggest that Dyche could be out of the job if results do not pick up.

Everton to replace Sean Dyche with David Moyes?
It is unclear who would be top of the list to replace Dyche but, as per Alan Nixon [8 December], the Scot is open to a return to management after parting ways with West Ham in the summer.
With Moyes happy to wait for the right opening, it is understood that the Friedkins could turn to him once the takeover has been completed and announced, which could be later in December.

The current man in charge must be commended for his achievements from last season but football is a results-based sport and Dyche has not been able to achieve that regularly enough this term.
A recent 4-0 win over Wolves has bided him some much-needed time, and so too has the postponed Merseyside derby, but it seems just a matter of time before a change is made.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has been told to axe his “lucky charm” ahead of their clash v Arsenal.
