Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé (25) has won the French Footballer of the Season award for the 2023/24 campaign, awarded by **France Football.**
Mbappé, who has retained his title, albeit by a smaller margin than last year, netted 52 goals in what was ultimately his final season at Paris Saint-Germain. He was part of PSG’s Ligue 1 title-winning campaign, their triumph in the Coupe de France, and their run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Mbappé finished ahead of Arsenal’s William Saliba by five points. The Arsenal defender earned 51 points in a season in which the Gunners once again ran Manchester City close for the Premier League title, whilst he also established himself in the France set-up.
On 24 points, AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan finished third, ahead of Real Madrid duo Eduardo Camavinga (17 points) and Aurélien Tchouaméni (16 points). In joint-sixth place with 15 points were Antoine Griezmann and Stade Brestois’ Pierre Lees-Melou. Warren Zaïre-Emery (11 points) and Bradley Barcola (10 points) rounded out the top ten.
