Alan Shearer believes it will be a “tough” task for Everton as he offered his prediction for the Arsenal clash on Saturday.
The Toffees travel to Emirates Stadium on 14 December with the aim of making it two wins from two games after a 4-0 victory against Wolves last time out.
The Gunners currently sit third in the Premier League, so this will represent a challenge for Sean Dyche’s side.
Shearer has backed the home side to pick up a win against the Merseyside outfit in his weekly predictions for The Metro (14 December).
He said: “Arsenal are at home and have had a really good Champions League win in midweek.

“They’ll have to bounce back after not winning last weekend, it will be a tough one for Everton, so I’ll go for a home win.”

There is no doubt that it will be difficult for the Toffees to travel to North London and come away with anything.
Mikel Arteta’s side possesses so much quality across the pitch which will cause issues for the away side throughout the clash.
The likes of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard represent elite stars which will require the utmost attention to keep quiet.
Although they have plenty of top players, set-pieces have become a mainstay of the Gunners’ game, which may play into Dyche’s hands.
The Merseyside outfit possesses plenty of tall and physical players who can match up well with the opposition to halt their progress inside the box from corners in particular.

This factor could make it an interesting clash at the Emirates, which may rely on dead ball situation to decide who comes away with the points in the end.
Dyche may not be too confident of securing a win but there are avenues for his side to do so.
