The second half of the season is almost upon FC Barcelona and there is simply no more room for errors. Already this season, the Catalan giants have rather uncharacteristically let their lead in La Liga slip away due to poor results. Fortunately for Barcelona, however, their team is set to receive some great news.
So far in this campaign, Hansi Flick has had to make do with a depleted squad due to the number of unavailable players that he had. Initially, Dani Olmo was not registered and later on got injured, while the likes of Gavi, Ronald Araujo, Lamine Yamal, and others have also gone through various injuries this season at one point or another.
However, recently, Flick received some great news as Araujo received the medical green light to travel with the team to Dortmund and was even on the bench for Barça’s most recent game. Now, heading back towards their domestic objective in La Liga, Barcelona will likely welcome back another familiar face against Leganes.
According to Javi Miguel, 22-year-old Spanish forward Ansu Fati has also received the medical green light and is now okay to participate in the game against Leganes up next. With this extra strength in attack, Flick’s team will look much better moving forward.
Both Ansu Fati and Danish player Andreas Christensen took part in the most recent training session and the latter’s return will likely arrive soon as well. While it remains to be seen if Fati ends up participating in the upcoming game, his return is still good news nonetheless.
That is because, heading into the later stages of this season, the more personnel that Hansi Flick has at his disposal the better. Given the demanding schedule of this season and the footballing calendar, injuries and fatigue are issues that simply cannot be avoided.
