Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways when we host Everton at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

A disappointing 1-1 draw away to Fulham last weekend has left us sitting third in the Premier League table – six points adrift of leaders Liverpool having played a game more – so we desperately need a victory today.

Mikel Arteta has made some changes from the side that started against Monaco in midweek but David Raya keeps his place in goal. William Saliba marshals the defence once again and he welcomes back his partner in crime Gabriel Magalhaes – who returns from injury to start this afternoon.

Myles Lewis-Skelly keeps his place at left-back after impressing against Monaco in midweek. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Riccardo Calafiori remain on the sidelines. Jurrien Timber starts at right-back in the continued absence of Ben White.

Declan Rice starts in midfield while Martin Odegaard captains the Arsenal side once again today. Mikel Merino keeps his place in the middle of the park so Thomas Partey and Jorginho have to make-do with places on the bench.

Bukayo Saka was the hero once again in midweek and he’ll be looking to continue his excellent form on the right flank against Everton. Gabriel Martinelli starts on the left flank with Kai Havertz recalled to lead the line up front meaning Gabriel Jesus drops out.
