A host of Manchester City players and their families visited a new local amusement park ahead of Sunday's hotly-anticipated derby clash with bitter rivals United.

Crisis-ridden City have managed to win just one of their last 10 games in all competitions, including a 2-0 loss to Juventus on Wednesday in the Champions League. Pep Guardiola's side welcome United to the Etihad desperate for a result which can reignite their season.

By kick-off, the reigning Premier League champions could be as far as 11 points behind leaders Liverpool. But it's not all been doom and gloom for City's stars.

On Friday, they hired out Manchester's new Winter Funland in Trafford Park. Phil Foden, Nathan Ake, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Stefan Ortega and Mateo Kovacic were among the players who visited along with their wives or partners and children.

Annie Kilner and her sister, Sian, were also pictured with their children. Kilner recently filed for a divorce from City defender Kyle Walker. The couple have four children; Roman, 12, Riaan, eight, Reign, six and eight-month-old Rezon.

Boss Guardiola wasn't in attendance, as he's seemingly having a more difficult time dealing with results - the worst run of his entire career. This week, the City boss opened up on how he struggles to deal with bad results, having been asked about the scars on his face which emerged following last month's 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in which Guardiola's men blew a three-goal lead.

"The nails, yes, I did them on my nose," he told Amazon Prime Video Sport. "I am a person who is nervous sometimes. I have bad days, I mess up a lot, and rudeness makes me nervous. Do I lose my mind sometimes? Yes. I sleep badly and I don’t digest food well. I always have to eat light. Only soup in the evening.

"But I am the same coach as I was five months ago. The one who had won the title, and I don’t fight my state of mind. If my state of mind is ugly, then it is ugly. But I know it will pass. The same is true when I am overjoyed. I know it will pass. I sincerely believe that it will be a year with great difficulties. We have to find continuity."
