Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Aston Villa in tonight’s Premier League clash.
The Reds go into the game at the City Ground buoyed by their 3-2 victory over Manchester United last weekend. It was the club’s first win at Old Trafford in 30 years and came after they had lost 3-0 to Manchester City a few days earlier.
Chris Wood became the club’s all-time Premier League top scorer as he bagged Forest’s third, following goals from Nikola Milenkovic and Morgan Gibbs-White. Such form has led to plenty of pundits tipping Nuno’s side to follow in Villa’s footsteps and achieve European football this season.
Today represents the Reds’ 5,000th league fixture and they are the 12th club to reach that milestone in English Football League history. Nuno has marked the occasion by making one change to his XI against Unai Emery’s side, with Nicolas Dominguez coming in for Jota Silva.
Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo and Neco Williams will once again make up the back line ahead of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Ryan Yates will likely partner Dominguez in midfield, although Anderson could also play there.

However, it seems likely Anderson will play out wide on the left, joining Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi in support of striker Chris Wood. The substitutes’ bench will be made up of Carlos Miguel, Morato, Taiwo Awoniyi, Harry Toffolo, James Ward-Prowse, Jota, Anthony Elanga, Ramon Sosa and Willy Boly.
Forest: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Yates, Dominguez; Anderson, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. Subs: Miguel, Morato, Awoniyi, Toffolo, Ward-Prowse, Jota, Elanga, Sosa, Boly.
