We head to St. Helens Stadium for a return to Barclays Women's Super League action on Sunday against Liverpool.
Our Gunners remain unbeaten for two months, winning six consecutive games in all competitions. With just three days since our 3-1 win over Valerenga in the UEFA Women's Champions League, we'll be looking to take this positive momentum back on the road.
LAST TIME AROUND
In our last visit to Liverpool back in January, we secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against the Reds.
The game came to life in the second half, with Vivianne Miedema breaking the deadlock in the 60th minute. Caitlin Foord followed suit, doubling the lead nine minutes later and ensurinh we took all three points back to North London.
THE OPPOSITION
Liverpool will be looking to continue their form following a 4-0 win vs Everton in the Women's League Cup, with a brace from Mia Enderby.
The Reds have won just twice in the WSL this season against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, with both of these wins coming away from home.
FACTS AND STATS
We remain unbeaten under Renée Slegers, winning our last three league games. The last time we won four consecutive WSL matches was December 2023 (7 in a row)
In our five WSL games under our interim head coach, we have scored exactly once (v Man Utd), twice (v West Ham), thrice (v Spurs), four times (v Aston Villa) and five times (v Brighton). Our Gunners haven’t scored six times in a league match since beating Leicester 6-2 in November 2023
Liverpool have only picked up two points at home this WSL season. The Reds have lost each of their last three WSL games, which is more defeats than they suffered across their previous 16 league matches
Our squad have kept the most clean sheets in the league so far with six (five for Daphne van Domselaar and one for Manuela Zinsberger)
Alessia Russo is aiming to become the sixth different Arsenal player to score in five consecutive WSL appearances. Our number 23 would be the first since Beth Mead in May 2022 to achieve this
Liverpool will play their 200th Women’s Super League game this weekend. They are the fifth team to reach the milestone after us, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City
Should our Gunners win on Sunday, it will be our 18th league win against the Reds from 24 meetings. We have not drawn any of our last 11 fixtures against them
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Slegers on Liverpool: “They have a couple of key players not available, which is a loss for them, but I still think they will put a strong, competitive team on the pitch on Sunday. That's what I expect.
“I’ve been saying it before, but momentum builds momentum, and we want to go off that. So, that’s good for us.”

Beard on us: “We know they are a top side, and in good form, Renee [Slegers] has done a fantastic job but we won’t make it comfortable for Arsenal. We’re going to have a go and look to try and get maximum points on Sunday.”
TEAM NEWS
When asked about team availability at her pre-Liverpool press conference, Slegers confirmed that the squad "came through well".
She also gave an update on the fitness of captain Kim Little and Lia Walti: "Kim is making progress as well. She wasn’t with us in Norway so we’ll see today and tomorrow how she progresses. She might be an option for Sunday. Lia Walti won’t be an option for Sunday."
