'Frustrating': Mikel Arteta unleashes brutal rant after what he saw from Everton's players vs…

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been left fuming following Everton’s draw on Saturday afternoon.

Everton fans have actually had some good news to cheer in recent days with The Friedkin Group approved by the Premier League to conclude their takeover.

Not many who made the trip down to north London will have been expecting to see their side take anything back to Merseyside.

Although Mikel Arteta suggested Everton’s extra rest handed them the advantage, the Toffees were still up against it to get a result.

And the former Everton player was seriously disappointed after full-time in their draw against a struggling Toffees side.

What Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta said about Everton

Ashley Young dominated Gabriel Martinelli in what was a hearty performance from Everton to take a point away from north London.

However, it was not seen that way by the Arsenal manager who took aim at the Toffees for their approach to the game.

“Very disappointing not to win the game. We fully deserved to win the game,” he told Sky Sports.

“We conceded no shots. We dominated play. When we generated big chances. No set pieces. They didn’t run. We did all the right things up to the last 20 metres, where we generated big situations but, at the end, we didn’t score a goal.”

“No. It doesn’t matter. Look at the intensity of what we generated in the second half.

“Frustrating especially when we concede zero [chances] and dominate the game so much.”

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford impressed the Arsenal fans with some of the saves he pulled off against their side.

Making the away trip to one of the Premier League’s best sides, Arteta cannot have expected Everton to have landed in north London and tried to outplay his side.

Everton fully deserved a point with gritty display

When a struggling side pays a visit to one of the Premier League’s powerhouses, sometimes it is just about shutting up shop and battling for a point.

And this was the case on Saturday with Everton doing all they could to keep Arsenal at bay.

|Arsenal|Everton|

|---|---|---|

|Shots|13|2|

|Big chances|1|0|

It has to be remembered Everton were without Dwight McNeil through injury who has been at the heart of everything good they’ve done this season.

Dyche will not be bothered about what Arteta has had to say and nor should he be, this was a display which will provide fans with a lot of optimism.
