Arsenal were left frustrated on Saturday afternoon when Everton came to north London and secured themselves a valuable point.
It’s been a long season for Everton and it is only December, but the last two outings have now provided their fans with some optimism for the remainder of the term.
Better times are seemingly ahead for the Toffees, with The Friedkin Group receiving approval from the Premier League for their takeover on Friday.
Sean Dyche’s side showed a lot of grit and determination at the Emirates as they held strong against an impressive Arsenal side.
However, there was a moment from the stands which was even more valuable than the point picked up by the visitors.

Arsenal and Everton fans sing Kevin Campbell tribute
The Arsenal fans were wowed by Jordan Pickford’s save in the first half of the game to keep Martin Odegaard out.
But a moment of class between the two sets of fans provided a heartwarming moment as they paid tribute to their former player, Kevin Campbell.
This was the first meeting between the two sides since Campbell’s passing earlier this year.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Sky Sports reporter Nick Wright shared the moment from the press box at the Emirates Stadium: “Lovely moment where the Everton fans start a chant for Kevin Campbell, which their Arsenal counterparts carry on…”
And for any of the former Arsenal and Everton’s friends and family in attendance, this will have provided a real touching moment.
Everton fans had plenty to sing about in the capital with Ashley Young dominating Gabriel Martinelli from right-back.
But it was a brilliant moment from both sets of fans to unite and celebrate Campbell’s life.
Arsenal installed Kevin Campbell tribute outside stadium
The fans may have provided their own tribute for the former striker during the game, but that was not the only nod to Campbell’s career.
An advertising board outside of the stadium showed a tribute to Campbell with images of him playing for both sides.
And Arsenal dedicated their matchday programme cover to their former striker, so it is probably right that the game ended in a draw.
Mikel Arteta may have said Everton held the advantage ahead of the game, but the Toffees had to battle for that point in north London.
