Chelsea and Liverpool target to cost above£40 million

Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth. The 21 year old will cost very high for any interested club as the Cherries rate him very highly.

Chelsea have a very good squad right now but Ben Chilwell is very likely to move away from the Stanford Bridge. This will open up space which the Blues will like to fill very quickly. In addition, they will like to sign a young player who fits in their transfer strategy.

On the other hand, Liverpool are keen to sign left back as Andy Robertson is ageing. The Scottish player will need a long term replacement very soon as he will turn 31 years old in March. The Reds too will hope to sign a young player who can do the job for a long time.

Milos Kerkez is on the radar of both the Premier League giants as he fits the bill. He is young and already have shone bright in English top flight league. He can make instant impact after joining any of these English clubs.

As per Football Insider, Bournemouth are not prepared to part ways with Kerkez in January. They have tied him with a contract running until 2028. This will help them to have a firm stance about his future.

Cherries will ask for more than £40 million and will only be open to selling him in summer. This may come as a blow for both Chelsea and Liverpool who would have hoped to snatch the 21 year old on low fee.

Besides these English clubs, Real Madrid have also shown interest in Kerkez. They too are keen to improve their left back position. Ferland Mendy has been injury prone whereas Fran Garcia has failed to impress. But, Kerkez is not their priority as they prefer Alphonso Davies who will become free agent soon.
