Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the Gunners deserved to win against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The north London giants had the opportunity to close the six-point gap to leaders Liverpool, but failed to capitalise with a goalless draw.
Speaking after the stalemate, Arteta said that it was very disappointing and his team fully deserved to win the game at the Emirates.
He said: "Very disappointing not to win the game. We fully deserved to win the game."
Arsenal could have been four points behind Liverpool at the end of the day. Instead, they remain six points adrift of the Reds, who have a game in hand.
Back-to-back draws in the Premier League have proved costly for the Gunners and they have an uphill task to challenge for the league title.
