What happened between Jason Tindall and an angry Ruud van Nistelrooy as Newcastle thrash…

Newcastle United ended a bruising week in good fashion.

Eddie Howe’s side put Leicester to the sword in the Premier League on Saturday, running out 4-0 winners at St James’ Park.

Only days after the Newcastle United manager called out his players following a miserable defeat at Brentford, Newcastle responded.

Clearly, there will be tougher tests to come but it was at least a positive way to head into Wednesday’s huge Carabao Cup quarter-final with the Bees on Tyneside.

Jacob Murphy kicked things off with a fine strike after missing a great chance and appeared to be venting some frustration when celebrating. Quick-fire goals from Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak put the hosts into command not long after the break before Murphy would add a fourth.

There were a number of impressive performances throughout the team, while Lewis Hall continued to delight with another great display at left-back.

It wasn’t all sunshine and light, however.

Jason Tindall, so often the man in the spotlight, was seemingly involved in something of a spat with Foxes boss Ruud van Nistelrooy, as is pictured below.

Jason Tindall has been back to his very best this season

Affectionately known as ‘Mad Dog’, Tindall has been in and amongst it this season.

A popular figure amongst the fanbase, the assistant coach also reportedly exchanged heated words with Mikel Arteta last month during the win over Arsenal.

Hopefully, the fight and the character he’s shown on the touchline is replicated by the team on a consistent basis.

Saturday was the latest starting point but there will invariably be tougher tests to come.
