Premier League giants Arsenal and Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Barcelona star Raphinha.
Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen on adding more quality to their attack and they are interested in the services of Barcelona winger Raphinha. According to a report from TBR, both Premier League clubs have enquired about his availability ahead of the winter transfer window.
Raphinha made a name for himself in the Premier League while playing for Leeds United before securing a £55 million move to Barcelona in the summer of 2022. He has only gone from strength to strength over the years and is currently enjoying the best season of his career.
The emergence of Lamine Yamal has forced the 27-year-old to feature on the left flank but that has hardly had any effect on his performances. In his 23 outings, the Brazilian has 17 goals and 10 assists.
While his contract at Barcelona runs until the summer of 2027 and they do not have any intentions of negotiating his departure, clubs in England are looking to make the most out of the Catalan giants’ financial situation. Quite a few clubs have confirmed to Barcelona that they are interested in their winger.
Premier League giants want Raphinha
Arsenal and Liverpool are two clubs that were keen on his services back in the summer and they retain interest in the former Leeds star who has proven himself in the English top flight back in the day. Both clubs have remained in contact with the intermediaries as they look to strike a deal for his services.
The Gunners want someone who can support Bukayo Saka on the right flank and Raphinha could be an exceptional signing as he can feature on either flank.
With Mohamed Salah’s contract running out and his long-term future uncertain, Liverpool are looking at the Brazilian as an ideal replacement for the Egyptian international.
Dani Olmo’s complicated future at Barcelona
Barcelona do not have any intentions of negotiating his departure as he is a key figure in Hansi Flick’s team but their financial situation along with the Dani Olmo situation has alerted the English clubs.
Olmo has been temporarily registered until the end of the year. If they do raise funds to register on a permanent basis, he could choose to leave as a free agent. While the player is not keen on leaving, their financial situation is opening up the possibility of Raphinha leaving the club.
