A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Saturday evening managed to triple his assist tally for the entire campaign.
The player in question? Arda Güler.
Youngster Güler was for his part afforded his latest starting berth this evening, as Real Madrid made the trip to Vallecas for a meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
And, after falling into an early two-goal hole, Los Blancos have since battled their way back in explosive fashion.
Owing to strikes on the part of all of Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops now find themselves in possession of a 3-2 advantage.
It is the aforementioned Güler, though, who has proven himself the creative catalyst for Real Madrid…
After first laying on Fede Valverde’s long-range effort just beyond the half-hour mark, Güler was back at it again on the far side of the interval, in teeing up Rodrygo’s goal.
After heading into this evening’s action with just a solitary La Liga assist to his name since arriving in Spain in the summer of 2023, the 19-year-old, in turn, has tripled his tally in the space of a single day’s work.
**\*Update\*** – Rayo Vallecano have since levelled things up at 3-3.
