Juventus saw their Serie A crisis drag on as Federico Gatti and a 95th-minute Dusan Vlahovic penalty scraped a 2-2 draw with relegation strugglers Venezia.

The Bianconeri were fresh from beating Manchester City 2-0 in the Champions League, but needed to get back on track in Serie A after three consecutive stalemates. Nico Gonzalez was back on the bench after two months out, but Andrea Cambiaso, Jonas Rouhi, Arek Milik, Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal missed out. The Lagunari at least calmed the crisis with a 2-2 draw against Como after four straight defeats, but Jesse Joronen, Alfred Duncan, Richie Sagrado and Antonio Raimondo were out of action.

Coach Thiago Motta was sitting out a touchline ban for dissent, so assistant manager Alexandre Hugeaux was on the bench.

See how it unfolded on the Liveblog.

Juventus broke the deadlock when Khephren Thuram flicked on a Teun Koopmeiners corner kick for Federico Gatti to bundle over the line from point-blank range at the back post.

Venezia almost equalised on the half-hour mark, as Joel Pohjanpalo nodded down a Gaetano Oristanio cross for Magnus Kofod Andersen, whose half-volley from the edge of the area smacked against the crossbar.

Moments later, Andersen pulled back from the right for Gianluca Busio to take it first-time from 14 yards, charged down by a brave Thuram sliding block.

The Bianconeri had the ball in the net on 49 minutes in a very similar move to the first goal, another Koopmeiners corner flicked on by Thuram to the back post, but it was disallowed because Kenan Yildiz nodded it onto his own arm.

Thuram also skimmed the crossbar with a ferocious strike from distance, but Venezia drew level instead when Francesco Zampano floated a cross to the far stick for the head of Mikael Ellertsson.

Filip Stankovic flew for a desperate reaction save moments later when Vlahovic’s cross took a big deflection of Jay Idzes.

However, it was Venezia who turned the game around when Juve-owned Hans Nicolussi Caviglia’s free kick was whipped into the crowd, the Idzes header possibly taking a deflection off Gatti to slot into the far bottom corner.

Douglas Luiz attempted an acrobatic scissor-kick volley that flashed wide on the Francisco Conceicao assist. Deep into stoppages, Stankovic at full stretch palmed away a Francisco Conceicao curler and pushed it onto the arm of teammate Antonio Candela for a penalty. Vlahovic kept his cool and sent Stankovic the wrong way to equalise at the 95th minute.
