Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hasn’t coached a team since leaving Manchester United three years ago, but that does not stop him from attending football matches.
The 51-year-old works part-time for UEFA as a technical observer, which involves attending and reporting on matches across the continent.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been careful not to rush back into management after experiencing a difficult spell towards the end of his time at Old Trafford. A poor start to the 2021/22 season led to Solskjaer getting sacked.
The 51-year-old initially returned to Old Trafford in a caretaker capacity following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal in 2018.
Solskjaer’s reign started perfectly, and United gave in to the growing pressure to appoint him on a permanent basis.
However, the height of Solskjaer’s time as manager came when United finished runners-up in the 2020/21 Premier League season.
But the Norwegian coach failed to deliver a trophy after losing the 2021 Europa League final against Villarreal on penalties.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spotted at Wolves
Wolves take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League this afternoon, with Solskjaer spotted in the stands at Molineux.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Most journalists were preparing themselves to link Solskjaer with the Wolves job since Gary O’Neil is under increasing pressure, but respected hack Andy Mitten explained exactly why Solskjaer was in the Black Country.
Solskjaer is described as a ‘football geek’ who often travels to England with his family, including his Ipswich-supporting son.
Another reason for Solskjaer to attend the game at Molineux is to keep an eye on former United colleague and Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna.
Wolves need new manager bounce
The table doesn’t read well for Wolves and they might need Solskjaer to save them from the drop.
Sat in the relegation zone, it remains to be seen if O’Neil can lead them to safety this season.
A recent 4-0 defeat to Everton did O’Neil no favours and they need to avoid further humiliation against the Tractor Boys.
It may be worth noting that Solskjaer hit the ground running when he took the job at United and Wolves need a bit of that.
Solskjaer is unlikely to join Wolves, but the club should at least try to make it happen if they part ways with O’Neill.
