Carlo Ancelotti claims officials missed ‘very clear penalty’ for Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his take that his side were denied what should have been a clear-cut penalty in the club’s meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Real, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

Fresh off an impressive triumph at Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek, Los Blancos turned attentions back towards the domestic front, in a La Liga clash with the aforementioned Rayo.

When all was said and done in a pulsating affair at Vallecas, however, the visitors were forced to make do with a share of the spoils.

As much came owing to a 3-3 stalemate, which saw Real Madrid fall into a two-goal hole, recover to take the lead, and surrender their hard-earned advantage during the 2nd-half.

As alluded to above, though, one individual of the opinion that the reigning Spanish champions were denied what should have been the chance to retake the lead late on, is Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking to the media post-match, Real’s headmaster pointed towards an overlooked penalty incident involving Vinícius Jr, which he felt was ‘very clear’:

“I thought it was a very clear penalty on Vinícius.”
