All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they prepare to take on Brentford.
Enzo Maresca’s men will be hoping to remain consistent over the festive period, but they will face a tricky Brentford side that has enjoyed an impressive start to the season. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.
Dortmund interest
Chelsea are said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund duo Karim Adeyemi and Gregor Kobel. Sky Deutschland say Adeyemi, in particular, has become a new target having switched agents, now represented by the same agency who represent Nicolas Jackson.
It’s claimed Adeyemi’s new agency are already in contact with Premier League clubs over a possible move to England. Kobel is 27 years of age, so he would only be likely to move if he was offered regular first team football.
Petrovic happy
Chelsea goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic has said he is happy at loan club Strasbourg, saying: “I am very happy here in Strasbourg. It is true that I wanted to stay in the Premier League. But when I started working with the staff and the players, it went very well straight away.
“It is not a mistake along the way. I’m happy because I give everything for the team. I’m here to make saves.” It’ll be interesting to see what Petrovic’s future holds amid increased competition at the goalkeeper position at Stamford Bridge with the summer signing of Filip Jorgensen.
