Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer talk from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed featuring the likes of Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Rashford and Harry McGlinchey…
Young defender Harry McGlinchey has signed his first professional contract with CHELSEA, the Blues have announced on the club website this week after the young man impressed the coaches at Stamford Bridge.
The club posted on the club website: ‘McGlinchey joined the Blues during his Under-14s season, after a spell at Plymouth Argyle, and made his debut for our Under-18s away at Arsenal in the latter stages of the 2023/24 campaign, while still a schoolboy.
‘Since signing his scholarship in July, the defender has been enjoying his first full season under head coach Hassan Sulaiman. He has made eight appearances for the Under-18s across all competitions so far this season, as well as featuring in Under-17 Premier League Cup fixtures.
‘In addition to his CHELSEA commitments, McGlinchey has regularly represented the Republic of Ireland Under-18s on international duty since the start of 2024/25, and was named the country’s Men’s Under-17 International Player of the Year last month.
‘Congratulations Harry!’

It is a massive thing for young players to sign their first professionals contract and now he will need to work hard in order to maybe break into that side over the next few seasons.
But we are delighted to see that one of the most exciting talents in the academy has been signed up to a deal.
BADIASHILE DECISION MADE
CHELSEA have knocked back all approaches for Benoit Badiashile and are adamant the defender will not be on the move this winter amid all the speculation that he is one of the players that Enzo Maresca could sell
Badiashile was one of the players that the club spent some money on a couple of transfer windows ago to hopefully help improve that back-line – who have been conceding far too many goals over the past few seasons.
However – the move to the Premier League has not quite worked out for the defender and according to French publication RMC Sport, Badiashile is attracting strong interest from a number of potential suitors, including Juventus and an unnamed club in Ligue 1, but the Blues have opted to keep hold of the star.
The reports say that Maresca wants to keep most of his squad until the end of the season, as he knows that depth is what is needed to keep the season going well.

The Club need to make some space and try to add players to the side that will make an immediate impact or new boss Enzo Maresca could end up failing to achieve his goals for the club this campaign, despite their string start to the season.
But Badiashile deserves to stay as he has been impressive when he has managed to get the game time this season, this is very good news.
RUBEN DIAS CHANCE
Man City are reportedly considering a ‘reluctant’ sale of Ruben Dias in the upcoming transfer window, which could boost chasing CHELSEA who have been linked with signing the defender for the last few transfer windows.
We have started the season in decent form and could be challenging for that Champions League place by the end of the season if they manage to sort out the clubs defensive issues.
There has been alot of links to players that have been established in the game for seasons, but there has also been alot of young players linked with moves to Stamford Bridge in recent months, but now it seems the board are looking for that Thiago Silva replacement, and Silva is on the list
The Portugal international, one of the lynchpins in several trophy-winning City teams, could be sacrificed as Pep Guardiola seeks to refresh a stale squad, That is according to TeamTALK, who report that Dias would make way for a new centre-back signing.
If you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – we should pay a big fee for Dias – he said: ‘If Man Citymake the decision to sell the defender in the January window – he would be a brilliant addition to that CHELSEA side – especially now that The club needs a leader at the back..
‘Maresca will want players that are proven at the very top of the game and he will need the backing of the board if he is to get the players he feels could take the club forward in the coming season.
‘Dias would be a great signing for the club
