The Manchester Derby returns on Sunday (December 15th) as Man City and Man United clash in the calendar-saving fixture.
This years first instalment of the heated local rivalry is set to be a rather unique edition of the iconic fixture. Both teams currently find themselves in challenging circumstances.
Pep Guardiola's side are in a torrid run of form which has seen them take one win from their last 10 games in all competitions. This includes seven losses for the Spanish manager. Their 2-0 defeat to Juventus mid-week only put salt in the wound.

Although past seasons have seen City have a slow start for them to only steamroll the competition towards the end of the year - this time it seems different. An eight point gap to Liverpool, with the Reds having a game in hand, is looking a very steep mountain to climb.
United are also in a tough spot at the moment. The introduction of Ruben Amorim maybe hasn't been as spectacular as some Old Trafford supporters may have believed.
The Portuguese boss has only won one in his first four league matches. This also saw him lose two on the bounce against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest. A comeback victory against Czech side Viktoria Plzen wasn't a glorious victory either. A Manchester Derby is the ultimate chance to prove himself.
