Everton picked up a point against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday – which is a feat not too many other clubs will achieve this season.
The Toffees have moved onto 15 points from 16 games, having put in a resolute defensive performance down at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal dominated the ball and knocked at the door but there was no way through the Everton backline and Jordan Pickford, who Arsenal fans criticised for time-wasting in the game.
It is undoubtedly a very positive result for Everton, and the club are now two games unbeaten.
The draw with Arsenal followed news that the Friedkin Group have received the Premier League approval to take over Everton, so it’s been a pretty good past few days for the club.
Against Arsenal, there was yet another top performance from veteran Ashley Young, who received a compliment from Asmir Begovic on Instagram after the game.

Young made headlines recently against Wolves with his free-kick in the 4-0 win – and it was another successful outing for Young at the Emirates on Saturday.

Asmir Begovic sends message to Ashley Young
After Saturday’s drawn, Young took to Instagram to send a message to fans.
He wrote: “Togetherness ✔️ Another clean sheet ✔️ Hard work but well worth it from everyone 💙.

The goalkeeper didn’t even need words to get his point across, instead simply leaving two red wine emojis.
Certainly, many Everton fans feel that Young is ageing like fine wine at the moment, having locked down a number of wingers in the Premier League this season despite being about to hit 40.
Young is such a superb example to other players, and long may this form continue.
