Newcastle United’s investment in Lewis Hall is now looking like a superb bit of business.
Lewis Hall has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround on Tyneside after initially struggling for game time after joining Newcastle United.
After signing him from Chelsea for £28m, Eddie Howe had a few concerns about Hall’s defending which meant he was not immediately thrown into the starting lineup.
However, the 20-year-old full-back got to work and Hall shocked staff in training by putting in extra hours and sessions to improve himself under Howe.
That hard work has paid off, with Hall now one of the first names on Howe’s teamsheet every week.

Lewis Hall is becoming a superstar at Newcastle United
Hall has now featured in all of Newcastle’s 16 Premier League matches so far this season with Newcastle fans raving about Hall’s display vs Leicester.
He picked up his second assist of the season as the Magpies ran riot with a 4-0 victory at St James’ Park. Hall was exceptional against Leicester. He took 112 touches – the most of any player – and remarkably made five key passes.
Hall has been tipped as the best young player in the Premier League this season, and he is showing no signs of slowing down after his brilliant start to the campaign.
