Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap will miss next weekend's home clash with Newcastle United after he was booked as part of the post-match scuffles at Wolves yesterday.
The brilliant young hitman, who played a key part in Town's first goal as the Blues grabbed a [dramatic late 2-1 win at Molineux](https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/24795108.premier-league-match-report-wolves-1-2-ipswich-town/), got caught up in the angry post-game exchanges and was shown his fifth yellow card of the season.
Wolves' Rayan Ait-Nouri lost his head at the final whistle and had to be restrained by several staff and team-mates. Matheus Cunha went wild too and ended up knocking the glasses off an Ipswich security man's face.

Ait-Nouri was subsequently shown a second yellow card and sent off.
Town boss Kieran McKenna said after the game that he wasn't sure if Delap had been booked, adding: "I didn't see what happened. It's an emotional moment. I didn't see."
However, Delap's booking has now been confirmed by the Premier League, meaning he'll serve a one-match ban.
His suspension leaves Town with only one recognised striker for next week's Newcastle clash - Ali Al-Hamadi, who was playing in League Two at the start of 2024.
George Hirst is injured and won't return until 2025. The likes of Sammie Szmodics, Nathan Broadhead and Conor Chaplin have all played as strikers before, but none of them seem a natural fit in McKenna's system.
Delap, who is Town's leading scorer with six goals in 16 games, will certainly be a major miss.
