Everton striker Youssef Chermiti will take several weeks before he’s ready to play the full 90 minutes due to his long-term injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the first real test will be to gauge whether or not he’s able to withstand longer spells of play as he suffered an injury in the summer and has still not fully recovered.
It appears to be a Grade 3 ligament injury which has kept the 20-year-old striker out for several months.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Chermiti: “Best way to get him into ideal shape is getting him bounce minutes and then monitoring his response.
“Difficult to say when he can last the full 90 minutes because the team will have key metrics in place that we aren’t privy to but generally, if he’s able to withstand longer spells of play then that is a positive sign.

“*However, it will take several weeks before he’s there given his lack of game time this season.*“
Everton are unlikely to get Youssef Chermiti at his best this season
Even though the Portuguese striker joined last season, he barely featured under Sean Dyche and is still not fully used to the physicality and tempo of the Premier League.
That can only happen once he plays games regularly and also starts them and that seems highly unlikely before the end of the season.

The best case scenario would be him returning to full fitness around February and then he may not be the first choice striker so that will impact his match sharpness.
