The goals have seemingly returned for Newcastle United.
Now, the quality of Saturday’s opposition has to be taken into account of course but it was promising to see Newcastle flex their muscle in terms of firepower in the Premier League on Saturday.
The scoring of goals has sometimes been an issue this season but Eddie Howe’s side now have nine in their last three outings following the 4-0 win over Leicester.
Even more importantly, they kept a much-needed clean sheet too.
Vital to their victory was Lewis Hall.
The defender impressed Newcastle supporters on social media and was among a number of Howe’s players to have shone against the Foxes.
Hall has been a standout figure for the club this season, working hard to put a difficult start to life at St James’ Park behind him.
Now a fully-fledged England international too, the 20-year-old is looking more and more like a masterstroke signing with each passing game.

“I’ve seen Lewis working with the coaches last week on his final ball, I think, two out of the five days that we had to prepare the game, and I believe players don’t get lucky, they get what they deserve for their work,” he said.
“Lewis ended up with two assists today off the back of that work, so congratulations to him.”
Lewis Hall is outdoing other defenders in the Premier League
It has been a coming of age season for Hall, who is absolutely flying right now.
In fact, stats from DataMB reveal that no other Premier League full-back has made more progressive passes than Hall this season (153).
That is some going and perhaps not something Newcastle fans could have imagined during his difficult opening few weeks to life at the club.
What a player…
