Ex Leicester player Jason Wilcox is one that must be described as a man in the middle. He is currently technical director at Manchester United, being much involved with Ruben Amorim at this point.
So what does a technical director at a football club? He should be responsible for shaping and maintaining a club’s long-term footballing philosophy. They ensure that the overall vision for the club remains consistent from youth development through to the first team, focusing on everything from coaching practices to player development.
Jason Wilcox joined Man Utd in the summer, moving on from his role at Southampton, strangely not affected by the change at the top, as Ruben Amorim came in, and Erik ten Hag left the club. Jason Wilcox was previously in a role as director of football at Southampton. Before his time with The Saints, Wilcox had several roles in the Man City establishment, working in the environment of Pep Guardiola.
Wilcox joined the Manchester City coaching staff in 2012 as an academy coach, a year later he made the step up to the U18s as their head coach and oversaw a national championship title and two FA Youth Cup finals. In 2017 after a spell in the job on an interim basis he was appointed to the role of academy director.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has as we all know been appointed new manager at Leicester, but times has also been busy at sister club OH Leuven, having difficulties and experiencing a relegation battle in the Belgian top flight, deciding to part company with Oscar Garcia in November.
Chris Coleman was the one appointed as the next manager as OH Leuven. The former Wales boss has made a promising start with two draws and a win, OH Leuven are now on place eleven in the table, so hopefully this could be an appointment that will work well going forward, as management changes looks to be very much part of the leadership stragegy not only at Leicester but as OH Leuven as well, as Jon Rudkin and Khun Top are also on top of the pyramid in the Belgian sister club.

Chris Colemen comes with a wealth of experience, being a bit out of the British tabloid limelight since leaving as Sunderland manager in 2018. He had a year earlier left the position as Wales head coach.
The interaction between the two clubs are still very much in play, as we often see players being shipped out to Belgium to gain experience, as well as giving a helping hand at times. Andy King, Nathan Opuku, George Hirst and Daniel Iversen are just a group of players to have been involved in both camps.
