The transfer window is opening next month and Chelsea may be on the lookout for new additions.

The Blues never shy away from a deal, even though they are thriving this season under Enzo Maresca. In particular, their attack has been superb - in 15 games that the Blues have played so far this season, they have scored an incredible 35 goals.

Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi is a name that has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time. The German has five goal contributions in five Bundesliga games so far this season.

But the 22-year-old will not be joining Maresca’s side in the January transfer window, though, according to a new report.

GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs wrote: "Adeyemi, who has previously been described as "unstoppable", recently signed with Epic Sports to represent him and Ali Barat has been a key figure in much of Chelsea's recent transfer business. However, sources insist that neither Epic nor Chelsea are currently working on a deal for the Germany international."

Maresca already has a number of great attackers at his disposal at Chelsea, with players like Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho, and Noni Madueke all doing superbly this season.

Fichajes reported that the club were very keen on the youngster, but now that idea has been thwarted.

Their report said that Dortmund will listen to offers worth around €50 million for Adeyemi, whose contract with the Bundesliga club runs until 2027.

Karim Adeyemi vs Celtic

Adeyemi became the youngest German player in history to reach 10 Champions League goals at 22 years and 257 days old after he netted a hat-trick against Celtic earlier this season.

After Adeyemi’s performance, Dortmund captain and former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can said: “He played fantastically. Not just today, but also in the last few weeks.

“He plays with more maturity and more determination. That must continue to be his aim.”
