Premier League leaders Liverpool dropped points for the fourth time this season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Fulham on Saturday.
The Reds had drawn 3-3 against Newcastle United in their last league outing, and they fell behind early on against the Cottagers as Andreas Pereira put the visitors ahead.
Andy Robertson was then sent off for the hosts, before Cody Gakpo pulled the Reds level shortly after the break.
Fulham then took the lead again courtesy of Rodrigo Muniz, but substitute Diogo Jota levelled the game once again minutes later.
Neither side could find a winner at Anfield, meaning Liverpool extended their lead over second-placed Chelsea to five points, although the Blues could cut that deficit to two points if they beat Brentford on Sunday evening.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, Liverpool appear to have joined Premier League rivals Newcastle in the race to sign a Belgian winger.
As per GiveMeSport, the Reds have joined the Magpies in the race to land PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.
Bakayoko has attracted interest from both Liverpool and Newcastle
The Belgium international joined PSV’s youth setup in 2019 and has since established himself in the first team.
The 21-year-old has now played more than 100 times for the Dutch side across all competitions, scoring 27 times and providing 22 assists.
Nottingham Forest and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in the player, who has also attracted the attention of German sides Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig.
Bakayoko is contracted to PSV until the end of next season, and the report claims that the Dutch side are demanding a fee of around £50 million for the player.
It is also claimed that Liverpool were hoping to land the Belgian in January, but they are now unlikely to be able to afford a move for him next month.
