German forward Kai Havertz has expressed frustration after Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton in the Premier League on Saturday. It marked the second consecutive weekend where the Gunners dropped points despite dominating possession and creating more chances than their opponents.
Reflecting on the match, Havertz acknowledged Arsenal’s inability to convert their control into a decisive victory.
“It’s very frustrating,” Havertz said. “I think we controlled the game very well and didn’t allow them any chances. We didn’t manage to score, and of course, that’s frustrating because we wanted to win the game.
“They are a tough team to break down. They’re very solid in the box. We missed the little details, like finding the final pass or getting the positioning in the box right. We’ll need to work on that and improve for the next game.”

Arsenal remain six points behind league leaders Liverpool, who also dropped points in a 2-2 draw at home to Fulham. However, Havertz insisted the team is focused on improving their own performances.

“Firstly, I think we try to look at ourselves,” he said. “Win games, get points—that’s the most frustrating thing today, that we didn’t do that. We have to win games like this. We’ll stay positive, stick together as a group, and make it better next time.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised his team’s defensive discipline but admitted frustration over their inability to secure all three points.
“Yes, we’re very disappointed not to win because if there was a team that deserved to win, it was Arsenal,” Arteta said. “We did everything necessary overall apart from scoring a goal.
“We conceded absolutely nothing, dominated all the direct play, didn’t allow them to run, and gave away no set pieces. We created three or four big chances but didn’t convert, and that’s the frustrating part. When you control the game as we did, you want to be rewarded for your effort.”
Arteta also commended his players’ work rate in various phases of the game.“Tracking back? Unbelievable. High pressing? Unbelievable. Dominating a lot of aspects? Unbelievable. But the disappointing thing is that after all we did on the pitch, we didn’t come away with the win,” he added.
