'Positive' - Aribo shares the mood in Southampton camp ahead of PL clash against Tottenham

Joe Aribo has shared the mood in the Southampton camp ahead of their Premier League meeting with Tottenham Hotspur at St Mary's Stadium on Sunday evening.

It has not been easy for the Saints following their return to the Premier League as they sit bottom of the table before the visit of Tottenham Hotspur, eight points from safety with fifteen games played.

As things stand, it seems like Southampton are going to get relegated and manager Russell Martin is living on borrowed time, considering the fact that Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are above them in the standings, recently sacked their managers.

Aribo believes Southampton can turn things around and get out of their difficult situation by sticking together as a team.

Speaking on episode two of [Early Doors](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQJVxJmUyZ0), Aribo said: "The most important thing for us and what I've seen especially this week, the boys have been positive, sticking together because we know that if we grind out and stick together, we can get out of the position that we are in."

Aribo has been called up for all the Premier League matches played by Southampton so far this season, scoring two goals in fourteen appearances.

The Nigeria international has shown his versatility, playing as a number 10, a box-to-box midfielder, and a holding midfielder.

Aribo admitted that it's a nice feeling when the fans have got a special song for him.

"It's amazing especially when it's a sing like that. I am buzzing every single time I hear it."

Southampton's current streak of scoring in fifteen consecutive Premier League games against Tottenham is their longest against any team in the history of the competition.
