Jadon Sancho in action for Chelsea

Jadon Sancho says it is ‘nice to feel supported’ after joining Chelsea on loan from Manchester United.

The England international joined United for a whopping £73million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. Sancho had played in Manchester City's academy before moving to Germany where he properly made a name for himself.

It was Ole Gunnar Solskjar who signed Sancho to United, but shortly after his move, the Norwegian boss got the boot and was replaced by Erik ten Hag. The relationship between the Dutchman and Sancho became ugly.

After Sancho was dropped from the squad when United faced Arsenal, the former manager said his decision was based on Sancho's performance in training. The London-born winger ended up accusing Ten Hag of being a liar in a post on X which was then deleted.

After being loaned out to his previous club Dortmund, he now finds himself at high-flying Chelsea. In an interview for the club's website, he seemed to aim a few shots at his old boss.

He said: "We’re all kind of leaders, because we all have different attributes to help each other, but the leading voice is definitely the manager. The manager is the voice of the whole team and whatever he says goes. We all buy into that.

"He understands us and always gives us advice about what to do in our position and how to help each other out. All the players trust him and believe in him.

"It’s always nice to feel supported, but he’s played the game as well so has a lot to offer and give advice on, about what to do and not do."

Support is something which Sancho felt like he didn't have at Old Trafford. When he was loaned back out to the Bundesliga, he said his return to the yellow-and-black striped club felt like 'coming home.' Now enjoying his time at Chelsea, it raises question as to if Sancho will ever return to Manchester.

The Manchester Evening News understands that the Blues have an obligation to buy Sancho if they finish 14th or higher in the Premier League. Right now, Enzo Maresca's side look like title challengers, even if the Chelsea manager won't admit it.

United would pocket between £20m and £25m. Something would have to go alarmingly wrong for Chelsea to drop all the way down to 15th by the end of the season so for now, it looks like Sancho will be gone for good.
