Jason Cundy has hailed Sean Dyche after Everton secured a point against Arsenal that even Liverpool and Manchester City would be happy with.
The Toffees travelled to the Emirates on Saturday (15 December) and came away with a draw thanks to some Jordan Pickford heroics.
The Gunners dominated from start to finish but weren’t able to breach the England international and the stubborn defence in front of him.
Cundy was impressed with Dyche’s side and told talkSPORT that any side in the Premier League would be pleased with the result.
He said: “I want to give Everton a huge amount of credit. Sean Dyche has taken a lot of flack and everyone is talking about if he should go. That’s the sort of manager you need. Everton needs him.

“Let me tell you something for nothing, every single team will go to Arsenal and would take a point. Every single team, you ask Liverpool, City, Chelsea. Because they are a good team. Arsenal were off colour and Everton were good.”
Sean Dyche hailed after Everton draw v Arsenal
The ex-Burnley manager travelled to North London and knew how he wanted his side to play and his plan came off to excellent effect.
There was little to no attacking threat from the away side which may represent a concern but against a potential title challenger isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
On another day the Toffees may have even taken all three points when Abdoulaye Doucoure went through on goal but took too long to shoot.
This didn’t stop Everton from securing a positive point thanks to the excellent work of the backline which gave the likes of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz little opportunity to create chances.

It is safe to say that if any other side in the Premier League can follow in the Toffees’ footsteps and reduce Mikel Arteta’s side like that, they will be pleased.
A clash against Chelsea now awaits Dyche at Goodison and if his side follows the blueprint from this draw, they may be in line for another useful result.
