West Ham United are keen to sign one Chelsea defender in January. They are desperate to improve their defence after a hard start to season. Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui is in high pressure and hence will look to make some key changes in January window.
West Ham have struggled a lot this season. Lopetegui joined this summer with high ambitions and made 10 signings. But, the things have not went as per plans as the Hammers see them on 14th position in the Premier League.
One big concern for Hammers has been their defence. They have conceded 28 goals in opening 15 league games. Despite signing Wan-Bissaka, Todibo and Kilman this summer, they have failed to stay solid at the back.

Earlier, Hammers were linked with Tosin Adarabioyo who joined Chelsea this summer on free transfer. The Blues are unwilling to let Adarabioyo leave which has made Hammers to monitor another Chelsea star.
According to TBR Football, Hammers are willing to sign Axel Disasi on loan. The Blues may agree to this deal as Disasi is way behind in the pecking order. The 26 year old has played just 3 Premier League games so far this season.
Disasi has lot of top level experience and will directly get into their starting lineup for Hammers. He will help the London outfit by adding more solidity in the back line. Hammers need a significant change in the second half of the season as every loss for now will pull them back drastically in achieving European football.
A loan move will be well suited for both clubs along with the player himself. Disasi can get more game time which is important for him on this stage of his career. The Blues can monitor him and take decision about his future at the end of the season.
