Mohammed Kudus transfer latest as Arsenal discover West Ham release clause amid Liverpool interest

Arsenal are reportedly set to be joined by Liverpool and Newcastle United in their race to sign West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus.

The Ghanaian joined the Iron in the summer of 2023 and has performed well for them despite their struggles. As such, he has earned admiring glances from across the Premier League.

According to The Mirror, West Ham are unwilling to let Kudus leave without a fight and have insisted a price tag of £90m is set on the 24-year-old. Such a huge sum is thought to worry Newcastle who understand they would need to make a number of sales in January to finance the deal.

Should the Premier League trio wish to wait until the summer to sign Kudus, a release clause is expected to be activated meaning they could sign him for £85m. While Newcastle may wish to wait until the end of the season, it is thought Liverpool and Arsenal could try and make a move in January.

The league leaders find themselves in a strong position having only bought Federico Chiesa in the summer. They could also be on the lookout for Mohamed Salah's replacement should he not agree a new contract with the club.

As for Arsenal, they were also relatively quiet in the summer transfer window although they did make more additions to their squad in comparison to Liverpool. A centre-forward is believed to be their priority and while Kudus has played there during his career, he has mainly been utilised as a left-sided winger by Julen Lopetegui this season.
