Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has named his starting line-up for today’s Premier League derby against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways in midweek with a 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League. Rasmus Hojlund scored both goals after coming off the bench.
United are presently eight points adrift of the top-four in the league. They can make a statement this evening by beating City, who have won just one of the previous 10 matches.
Ahead of the Manchester derby, Amorim has made four changes to the XI. Andre Onana continues in goal for the Red Devils despite high-profile errors in the last two outings.
In the back three, Harry Maguire comes in to partner Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez.
Diogo Dalot moves to the left wing-back position for the derby with Tyrell Malacia dropping to the bench. Noussair Mazraoui will start from the right wing-back role against the Cityzens.
In midfield, Manuel Ugarte has been reinstated into the starting XI in place of Casemiro. The Uruguayan will be accompanied by captain Bruno Fernandes in the number eight role.
Elsewhere, there is a surprise start for Mason Mount alongside Amad Diallo in the attacking midfield positions. Hojlund will lead the Red Devils’ attack against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Marcus Rashford is not even in the matchday squad and there is no specific reason as of now.
