Mohamed Salah fumed with two Liverpool teammates in injury time vs Fulham

Mohamed Salah was visibly frustrated during the closing stages of Liverpool's draw with Fulham on Saturday as two of his teammates failed to pick him out after he had taken up a brilliant position to score a winning goal.

The Reds, who went down to 10 men inside the opening 20 minutes of the match after Andy Robertson was sent off, twice came from behind to emerge with a point against the Cottagers.

While Liverpool may look back on the result at the end of the season as a point gained, there will be plenty of Reds ruing the team's failure to find a late winner, particularly considering the fact that Arne Slot's men looked by far the more likely side to find a decisive goal in injury time.

Liverpool's best chance of finding a winner came when Virgil van Dijk, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota all had shots blocked in quick succession in the 93rd minute.

While Van Dijk's decision to shoot was the right one, replays suggest that Diaz and Jota might have been best served by picking out Salah, who had stationed himself on the right side of the six-yard box.

Diaz opted to jink to his left and got a shot away with his left foot, before his blocked effort fell to Jota, whose shot was also diverted away from the goal by a Fulham player.

Had either man looked for Salah, they would have found him unmarked and six yards from goal, and undoubtedly in a better position to score than both Diaz and Jota, considering the amount of Fulham bodies that stood between them and the goal.

Salah was clearly frustrated as Jota's shot deflected over the ball for a corner kick, slapping his thighs in anguish and turning away. That was to be Liverpool's best chance in injury time, as the Reds failed to create much of note in the closing minutes.
