Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City chasing Premier League striker

Arsenal missed the chance to close the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool as they drew -0 against Everton on Saturday.

The Gunners were unable to find the back of the net at The Emirates, with Toffees’ goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in fine form to deny Mikel Arteta’s side on a number of occasions.

Arsenal’s failure to pick up all three points will feel even Moore frustrating for Arteta as Liverpool also dropped points, drawing 2-2 with Fulham at Anfield.

The results mean that Arsenal sit third in the Premier League table, six points behind the Reds who also boast a game-in-hand over their title rivals.

It now appears that Arsenal, Liverpool and reigning champions Manchester City are all chasing a Premier League striker.

According to CaughtOffside, both Liverpool and Arsenal are planning to make offers for Brighton and Hove Albion striker João Pedro.

Pedro has attracted interest from three of the Premier League’s biggest clubs

The report claims that both the Gunners and the Reds are interested in the 23-year-old and are plotting bids in the region of between £45-55 million for the Brazilian.

Pedro joined Brighton from Championship side Watford last year and has since scored 24 times in 49 games for the Seagulls across all competitions.

This season he has netted four timed and provided three assists in nine Premier League games for Fabian Hurzeler’s side, and his impressive displays have alerted three of the division’s biggest clubs.

The report claims that Liverpool are particularly interested in the forward and could being talks over a potential move for the player as early as January.

It is claimed that Brighton have put a price tag of £60 million on the Brazil international, who is under contract until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Pedro primarily operates as a striker but is also capable of playing in a slightly deeper role as a second striker.
