Jadon Sancho has expressed his contentment with the support he's received since his loan move to Chelsea from Manchester United. The England winger, who made a high-profile switch from Borussia Dortmund to United for £73 million back in 2021, had previously honed his skills at Manchester City's academy before making waves in Germany.
It was under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure that Sancho arrived at Old Trafford, but following Solskjaer's departure, Sancho found himself at odds with new boss Erik ten Hag.
The situation turned sour after Sancho was omitted from the squad for a clash with Arsenal, with Ten Hag citing training performance as the reason. This led to Sancho reportedly calling Ten Hag a liar in a now-deleted social media post, reports [the Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/jadon-sancho-drops-subtle-man-30590817).
Following a stint back at Dortmund, Sancho is now settling into life at Stamford Bridge, with the winger even making a subtle dig at his former manager in a club interview. Sancho said: "We’re all kind of leaders, because we all have different attributes to help each other, but the leading voice is definitely the manager. The manager is the voice of the whole team and whatever he says goes. We all buy into that.
"He understands us and always gives us advice about what to do in our position and how to help each other out. All the players trust him and believe in him.
"It’s always nice to feel supported, but he’s played the game as well so has a lot to offer and give advice on, about what to do and not do."
The comments are particularly notable given Sancho's previous lack of support at Manchester United. After being loaned back to the Bundesliga, Sancho described his return as feeling like "coming home."
With Sancho now thriving at Chelsea, it remains to be seen whether he will ever make a return to Manchester. Sources at the Manchester Evening News have revealed that Chelsea are obliged to purchase Sancho if they finish 14th or higher in the Premier League, which would see United receive between £20million and £25million. As things stand, it appears increasingly likely that Sancho will make a permanent departure.
