Wolves are set to unveil a new manager very soon, after Gary O’Neil was finally sacked on Sunday.
Gary O’Neil was relieved of his duties the day after Wolves lost to Ipswich Town in the Premier League, which came as something of a surprise to fans.
That’s because Gary O’Neil had been backed by Fosun just days earlier, and publicly.
But there was a big change of heart after that defeat to Ipswich, and Wolves are now hunting for a successor.
And Wolves have already opened talks with Vitor Pereira – and there is now some information regarding how much this appointment will cost.

With Vitor Pereira currently already at a club in Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Shabab, Wolves will need to pay to get their man.
And journalist Ben Jacobs was now provided some information regarding how much money must be forked out.
He writes on X: “Understand Vitor Pereira’s Al-Shabab release clause is in the region of €1m.”

€1 million is the equivalent of around £830,000.
It is currently unclear how much Wolves have paid in compensation to Gary O’Neil. But it was reported recently that O’Neil’s new Wolves contract had a compensation clause that was around the same as his first contract.
Regarding, when this managerial appointment could get over the line, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook suggests everything could be signed off by the middle of next week. He writes on X: “Told Pereira appointment could be confirmed as early as the middle of next week.”
Wolves need Pereira in ASAP
Replacing O’Neil was already an overdue decision, but Wolves now need Pereira in ASAP – if he’s indeed the club’s top choice.
Wolves’ next game is against Leicester City on Saturday, and it is paramount that the new manager gets as much time as possible with his new players ahead of that game.
Wolves fans feel the decision to sack O’Neil has come too late, and that the club is doomed this season.
But hopefully, Pereira can embrace the challenge, win over the players and get this team to start putting in performances that fans can be proud of.
