Former Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sparked speculation over his next managerial role after he was spotted at Molineux for Wolves' 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town.
The dramatic loss proved to be the final game in charge for Gary O'Neil who was sacked by the Midlands club on Sunday with the club sat 19th in the Premier League table. As a result, the 51-year-old emerged as the bookmakers' favourite to replace the former AFC Bournemouth manager.
Solskjaer has been out of the dugout since he was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford in 2021 and has been largely out of the running for roles in terms of the betting odds. Reports suggest that Wolves are working on a deal to appoint Al-Shabab manager Vitor Pereira as their new head coach, dispelling claims around the Norwegian's return to the Premier League.

It has been suggested that the United icon returned to the Premier League stadium on Saturday to see former colleagues Kieran McKenna and Martyn Pert. Both McKenna and Pert worked alongside Solskjaer during his tenure at Old Trafford with the former coach striking a friendship as the pair shared an embrace before kick-off.
"It must be something exciting enough, together with the right people," the former United boss said on the prospect of returning to management.
"But I feel so well now that there must be something that triggers me enough for me to choose to travel from Nordmore (in Norway). I think that a national team could suit me, but then it can't be on the other side of the globe."
If Solskjaer does indeed take the reins at Wolves, he would reunite with United on Boxing Day when the sides meet at Molineux.
