Chelsea put an end to pursuit of young German winger

Chelsea are not interested to sign German winger Karim Adeyemi in January. The Borussia Dortmund winger was highly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer. But the deal never happened and the 22 year old stayed at Dortmund.

Adeyemi has been superb for Dortmund this season. He has 5 goals and 3 assists in 8 games so far this season. The 22 year old is capable of playing on both wings and can even play as a right midfielder and as a striker if required.

Adeyemi recently signed with Epic Sports to represent him. The owner of this company – Ali Barat has been very important in the recent Chelsea tranfer business. This kept Adeyemi on the radar for Blues and a january move was expected.

Chelsea will not make a move for Karim Adeyemi

Despite the links, the latest report from GiveMeSport has says otherwise. The report states that the Blues will not make any move for Adeyemi in January as they are happy with the current squad.

Marcu Guiu and Omari Kellyman are considered as members of first team. Enzo Maresca is happy with currently players and even made a statement that they will not make any major signings in January. Hence, it seems like Adeyemi’s dream of playing for the Blues has faded.

Will Chelsea make any signings in January?

As of now, Maresca has ruled out any new major incomings. But, it still feels like Chelsea will not end the winter window quietly. They may still make a move for defender or goalkeeper in order to compete for the titles.

The Blues will be open to selling some of their current stars who are not in manager’s plans. Some may even leave on loan in order to prove themself. Hence, it seems like in this window the Blues will be more reactive and less active.
