Anthony Gordon looked back to his best for Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle United put on a ruthless display at St James’ Park to beat Leicester City 4-0. Jacob Murphy scored twice while Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak also etched their names on the scoresheet.
Eddie Howe’s side have been criticised for a lack of goals this season but Newcastle put on an attacking masterclass against the Foxes.
Murphy was praised by Howe after full-time and Newcastle fans raved about Lewis Hall’s display, but Anthony Gordon was arguably the best player on the pitch.

James Justin honest admission after Anthony Gordon showdown
Finding a balance in the front three has been a big challenge for Howe this season but on Saturday he got it spot on with Gordon returning to the left.
The £45m Newcastle star was up against Leicester full-back James Justin and had the beating of his opponent every time.
Gordon took 62 touches, completed five key passes and completed two successful dribbles when up against Justin.

After the full-time whistle, Justin told club officials: “I just feel like we were off it all over the pitch. Me individually and as a team, we just weren’t at the level today and we got punished in quick succession in the second half.
“We have to look in the mirror and try to bounce back. I feel like the manager gave us a good structure to play from and we didn’t execute it as well as we can.
“We have to look to get into our structure earlier, be calm on the ball and be slow in possession to keep the crowd down as much as possible.
“As soon as the crowd gets rocking here it’s a difficult place to play when they’re pressing you.”
