WOLVES manager Gary O'Neil has been sacked following his side's 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich Town, it has been widely reported.
The Black Country outfit sit 19th in the Premier League table on nine points from their first 16 matches, ahead of only bottom-place Saints.
Saints are on just five points but boss Russell Martin remains in his post ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham Hotspur, with results expected to improve.
Wolves finished 14th in the Premier League last campaign but have won only twice this season - a 2-0 win at home to Saints and a 4-1 victory at Fulham.
Since those wins, O'Neil's charges have lost their last four in a row, and Wolves have decided they have seen enough to part ways with the 41-year-old.
